Every year, we provide over 200,000 warm, nutritious meals to the people of Cork. Behind every meal is someone who needs a helping hand, a warm welcome, and the reassurance that they are not alone.
Today, we’re asking you to help us continue that mission through our Just One Meal appeal.
For just €5 – the cost of preparing one meal in our James Street kitchen – you can ensure that one person receives not only a nourishing meal, but also empathy, dignity and hope.
No donation is too small. One meal may seem like a simple gesture, but to someone facing hardship, it can make all the difference.
To make supporting our work even easier, we’ve launched a brand-new online donation portal, allowing you to make an immediate impact with just a few clicks.

Through the continued generosity of the people of Cork, we’re able to sustain our vital 365-day service, ensuring that people experiencing food poverty and hunger have access to nutritious food, dignity and support every day of the year.
We’re also delighted to have recently reintroduced our sit-down dining service, allowing people to come inside, enjoy their meal in a warm and welcoming environment, and share something that is often just as important as the meal itself – companionship

Founded in 1988, Cork Penny Dinners has supported generations of people
across Cork, providing hot meals, food hampers and essential support to thosewho need it most.
The charity’s work continues every day of the year, with demand for its services growing and community support playing a vital role in allowing the organisationto continue meeting that need.
